The real cost of TrueCoach.
TrueCoach prices by how many clients you have, and takes a cut of what you earn on top of the subscription. Here's the dated breakdown — and TrainerPanel's flat, no-cut alternative.
TrueCoach can be cheaper below ~20 clients. Past the Standard tier, its bands keep climbing — TrainerPanel stays flat. TrueCoach's payment-fee question (see below) isn't included in these figures, and its pricing above 50 clients isn't published.
TrueCoach prices in three client-count tiers — Starter (up to 5 clients) at around $29.98/mo, Standard (up to 20) at around $69.98/mo, and Pro (up to 50) at around $164.98/mo, last checked July 2026 — then moves to custom sales pricing above 50 clients. TrueCoach also takes a cut of payments processed in-platform; the exact percentage is disputed across its own sources and unverified here. TrainerPanel Pro is flat at $79/mo with no per-client fee and no cut of your payments on Pay Pro.
TrueCoach's client-tier ladder
TrueCoach doesn't charge per individual client — it charges by which named tier your roster fits into. Cross a tier boundary and your bill jumps to the next named price, all figures last checked July 2026, direct from TrueCoach's own pricing page:
| Tier | Clients | Monthly | Annual (per mo) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | up to 5 | ~$29.98 | ~$26.34 |
| Standard | up to 20 | ~$69.98 | ~$57.99 |
| Pro | up to 50 | ~$164.98 | ~$136.99 |
| Custom | 51+ | Sales quote — unverified, TrueCoach doesn't publish a number past 50 clients | Sales quote — unverified |
Move the toggle to see TrueCoach's tier price at 5 / 20 / 50 clients — and TrainerPanel Pro's flat $79/mo next to it at every point.
Starter tier (up to 5)
- Jumps to the next named tier as your roster grows
- Plus an unresolved payment-fee question on top
Same price at 5 clients or 50
- Coach App included — no separate app bill
- We never take a cut of your payments on Pay Pro
TrueCoach starts cheaper. At 5 clients, TrueCoach's Starter tier is around $29.98/mo — well below TrainerPanel's flat $79/mo. The gap closes, then reverses, as your roster grows.
Same roster. Two different bills.
Monthly cost as your roster grows. TrainerPanel is one flat line. TrueCoach is a staircase — each named tier is a real step, not a smooth curve.
Under 20 clients, TrueCoach's sticker price can be lower than TrainerPanel's flat $79/mo — that's real.
Once you cross into Pro, the gap opens fast: around $165/mo vs TrainerPanel's same flat $79.
Past 50 clients, TrueCoach's pricing is a sales quote it doesn't publish — genuinely unverified.
TrueCoach figures from its published pricing page, last checked July 2026, direct vendor fetch. TrueCoach's payment-fee question (see below) is not included in the lines above. Above 50 clients, TrueCoach moves to sales-quote pricing it does not publish — no figure is plotted there.
The part that isn't on the pricing page: a cut of what you earn.
TrueCoach's marketing page advertises "FREE Automated Payments" — but its own help-center article, in its own words, describes "a flat 5% fee per transaction," applied to the invoice total including tax, also on refunds (last touched Dec 3, 2025). Two third-party trackers from 2026 describe the fee differently — as standard Stripe processing only (roughly 2.9% + $0.30), with no separate TrueCoach markup. We could not resolve this conflict from public sources.
What we know for certain: TrueCoach's marketing claim ("free," "no hidden fees") is consistent with "no extra monthly fee to unlock payments" — a real, separate claim — but is not proof of "no transaction-level cut," which its own help doc directly contradicts. Until TrueCoach clarifies which is current, treat any specific percentage as unconfirmed.
| What | TrueCoach | TrainerPanel |
|---|---|---|
| Payment cut | Unresolved — TrueCoach's own help doc says a flat 5%; its marketing page implies free; third-party trackers disagree. Unverified — confirm directly with TrueCoach before relying on a number. | We never take a cut of your payments on Pay Pro. Optional Pay Go route: 2.50% handling + settlement, plus standard processor (Stripe) fees, disclosed. |
This is the single most important honesty moment on this page — we'd rather show you the unresolved conflict than guess a number in either direction.

What each one costs, and what you keep by not paying for it separately.
| Feature | TrueCoach | TrainerPanel Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Client-count pricing | Tiered (5/20/50), then opaque above 50 | Flat — no per-client fee |
| Payment processing | Built in; fee stack unverified (see above) | Pay Pro (no cut) or Pay Go (2.50% + processor fees, disclosed) |
| Coach App for clients | Included | Included |
| Programs / workout builder | Core strength | Included |
| Sessions / booking | Limited | Included |
| Courses | Not core | Included as product-ready |
| Storefront / selling | Narrow | Included |
| Website builder | Not offered | Included as product-ready |
| Video meetings | Not the platform's focus | Included |
TrueCoach's narrower training-delivery workflow is its honest positioning, not a weakness — this table isn't an attack on product quality outside its own assigned lane.
Is TrainerPanel always cheaper than TrueCoach?
For TrueCoach specifically: we did not find a client count where a paid TrueCoach tier beats TrainerPanel Pro's $79/mo once the payment-fee question is factored in — TrueCoach's cheapest paid tier (around $29.98/mo) is capped at 5 clients, and a coach that size can often use TrainerPanel's free Starter plan (up to 3 clients) instead. This is the one competitor in our comparison set where we could not find a genuine "may not beat them" gap. (That's not true of every competitor we cover — see the full real-cost guide for the honest exceptions.)
